NOTE: We (parents) told Ashton repeatedly that it was a bad idea to jump into the lake…but he was firm in his convictions and did it of his own stupidity free will.

Today Sadie, mom, and I went over to the partly man-made waterfall to boulder and to take photos. We walked up a ton of roads to get to the waterfall and then I climbed down to the rocks that were sticking out of the river. Then mom got down and then Sadie got down to the rocks and then we walked across, climbed and got back up and waited for dad to wake up.
Then once dad woke up we hiked over to another waterfall but the waterfall was on a farmers property so we just looked at the stream coming down from the mountains. Then we went home and jumped on the trampoline, watched TV, and ate before I got on my swimsuit and jumped [off a diving board] into the freezing cold newly melted ice water lake!!!!! When I jumped in I couldn’t breathe even though my head was not under water, I went numb and I will just say it was fun and torture at the same time.
