Giac Lam Pagoda – 5/22/2024

By Sadie

Today we took a grab at Giac Lam Pagoda which is the oldest temple in Ho Chi Minh City. First we walked all the way to the top of the big temple which had 6 floors. When you get to the top there is a really good view and it feels good to have the wind in your hair. We saw the white statue of Quan The Am Bo Tat which is the Goddess of Mercy. It was on a lotus blossom. The lotus blossom is a symbol of purity. When we were looking for a place to eat lunch a guy came up to us and told us that it was Buddha’s birthday and they were having a party inside the temple. We went and took a look at the party and then decided to go eat lunch. After lunch we went to our house because we were all so tired. We stayed home until dinner. We ordered grab food for delivery and then watched some tv.
