This morning we went with our tour guide to an old train track that had Maeklong market on it. As the train comes the street vendors move out of the way in minutes. There is a bell that goes off about 5 minutes before it comes so that everybody can get out of the way. When the train comes it is right up next to you. Then after it’s gone the market pops back up very quickly. Then we took a longtail boat to a floating market and walked around. The market had giant snakes and lemurs that you could touch. Then we drove to a floating restaurant on the River Kwai. Then we went to the Hellfire Pass railroad museum. It was about a railroad that was forced to be built by prisoners of war that were taken by the Japanese during WWII. Then we took a longtail boat to a hotel that was on a raft. It didn’t have electricity. We put on our swimsuits and jumped off of our balcony into the water where the current took us all the way to the end of the hotel. Then we climbed out of the water then walked back and jumped off again. We did this for a while until dinner time. We went to the restaurant at the hotel and met our tour guide. Then we went back to our balcony and read books while lying down on our hammocks until we went to bed.
