Traditional Thai Historical Dance and Royal Barges – 4/24/2024

Posted on April 24, 2024April 24, 2024

HALFWAY DAY – Today marks the halfway point of our Asia Adventure

By Ashton

Today we woke up and got muffins and 7-Eleven for breakfast. Then we did some laundry and started packing because today we are leaving for Chiang Mai tomorrow. Once we were done we got a Grab to a lunch place across town. The food was delicious but we ate very quickly because we needed to get to a show at Sala Chalermkrung Royal Theatre before it started but we still made it to the box office about five minutes before the show started. The performances were all dances from different time periods and places in Thailand. Afterwards, we went to the Royal Barges Museum which was filled with different canoe-like boats decorated with mirrors and gold paint. Many of them had cannons or wooden statues at the front. Next we came home and got burgers delivered for dinner. We finished eating and finally went to bed.
